FINE TOOTHED COMBS:
It's not enough to just brush your dogs coat between grooms to avoid matting & fine knots. Brushing has its place for loosening the top coat, but it doesn't get into the hair fibres and separate them, which is what's needed to avoid those messy coats, ears & tails. Using a fine toothed metal comb is the only tool that will separate the hair, keeping it tangle free, and should always be used after initially going over the coat with a slicker brush. We sell a range of combs for this purpose. Please ask in salon & we'd be happy to give you a demonstration of how to use these.  SLICKER BRUSHES: Slicker brushes are an ideal way to gently remove dead & loose hair from the undercoat, whilst helping to tease out tangles with a silicone, ergonomic grip, making them easy to hold & use. Regular use of the slicker brush will reduce matting, particularly when finished with our fine tooth combs. Slickers will remove dead, lifeless hair, leaving the top coat looking healthy & full of body & shine. A staple in your furry friends life. Suitable for dogs, cats, rabbits & guinea pigs. DOUBLE SIDED BRUSH: This combination brush consists of a brush bristle pad on one side to help remove dirt & debris from your pets coat. The softer brush pad is gentle on even the most sensitive skin types. The wider pin brush pad on the other side helps detangle knots in your pet's coat. It also helps to stimulate the natural oils in your pet's skin to provide your pet with a healthy, nourished & shiny coat. Stimulating the hair folicles can also promote hair growth.
